A fire that lasted more than 10 hours hit a locator’s facility inside the Cavite Export Processing Zone in Rosario town Friday.
No one was initially reported hurt in the fire that started in the afternoon, reached Task Force Bravo and was placed under control shortly after midnight Friday.
Bureau of Fire Protection officials said the fire was in a “cooling stage” as of 4 a.m. Saturday as the affected area contained wooden products, radio dzBB’s Paulo Santos reported.
The fire was placed under control at about 12:07 a.m., 10 hours after it started at about 2:25 p.m. Friday, the report added.
Firefighters had a hard time battling the blaze inside the export processing zone.
As of early Saturday, the report said arson investigators were still determining the cause of the fire and the extent of damage to property. — ELR, GMA News
