Woman killed in Bangsar house fire

PETALING JAYA: A woman died while five others were injured after a fire broke out at a double-storey house in Bangsar early Saturday (Oct 28).
Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department director Khirudin Drahman said firemen who arrived at the house in Lorong Maarof at 4.18am found that the fire had spread from the guest room downstairs.
Firemen managed to break down a door to allow two of those trapped in the house to escape, he said.
He said the body of a middle-aged woman, identified as Kamadevi, was found at the staircase.
“Three of them are still in the critical wards, while the other two are treated at the normal wards,” Khirudin said.
