Nepal Army prevents wildfire from reaching village settlement

LAMJUNG: Nepal Army’s Shreejung Battalion has prevented a wildfire from being spread to the settlement of Hiletaksar village in Besisahar Municipality-10 of the district.
The wildfire that had broken out in the Chituwa Community Forest near Hiletaksar on Wednesday afternoon had put 26 houses of the village at risk.
A team of Nepal Army of the Shreejung Battalion had gone to the incident site to try and take the fire under control as soon as they had come to learn about the wildfire.
The team was able to successfully extinguish the fire before it could reach the settlement. According to Nepal Army, no human casualty or loss of property was reported as the fire was doused in time.
