Fire breaks out in Thane school building, no casualties

THANE: A fire broke out in the computer lab of Shree Mavli mandal school in Thane on Tuesday morning.
Luckily, the school was closed for summer holidays and there were no students inside, said a fire and rescue official.
According to the civic officials, the fire was noticed by the school staff who alerted the Regional Disaster Management Cell following which a fire brigade was rushed to the spot.
The firefighters are trying to douse the blaze. They suspect a short circuit in the wiring of the computer room could have triggered the blaze.
