Fire breaks out in Kolkata’s Park Circus area

KOLKATA: A major fire engulfed six plywood shops and a bamboo shed at Rifle Range Road in the Park Circus area of Kolkata on Wednesday afternoon.
12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
Locals assisted firefighters in their attempts to control the blaze.
The spot is next to railway tracks in the south Sealdah section. Train services have been disrupted.
Locals alleged that fire engines arrived nearly an hour after the fire was detected.
All shops and godowns contain inflammable articles, fire department Power connections have been switched off to prevent the fire from spreading.
