Major fire breaks out at powerloom unit in Bhiwandi

BHIWANDI: A major fire broke out at powerloom unit in Bhiwandi at 8.40pm. Three fire tenders from Bhiwandi and Thane have been rushed to the spot.
The incident took place at powerloom unit situated in Khoka compound in Shanti Nagar area of Bhiwandi.
“Fire was so huge that residents of surrounding buildings were asked to leave as precautionary measures. Before the fire spread, around 25 workers working inside loom has managed to escape unhurt,” officials said.
