Updated: 2019–07–06
A fire hit an undergarments factory in Multinational Village in Parañaque City on Friday evening, Jamie Santos reported on GMA’s Saksi.
Officials declared the fire has reached a fifth alarm and about 50 fire trucks responded to the emergency.
Some employees returned to their work place after learning about the fire incident and some of them helped put out the fire while others tried to save some furniture or fixtures.
Ramil Curacha, who was inside the factory on Friday evening, said they heard a blast before the fire became visible.
No employees were hurt in the incident.
Bureau of Fire Protection officials are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
The fire was declared under control by 10:08 p.m. on Friday.
BFP officials estimated the cost of damage to reach at least P10 million, according to a report on GMA News TV’s Balitanghali on Saturday. —BAP/KG, GMA News
