Engine fire blamed for car crash
Updated: 2019–08–21
An engine fire caused the driver of a car to crash into the rear of a vehicle stopped at a traffic light in South Okkalapa township, Yangon, on Monday.
Police say the accident happened after smoke started pouring from the engine, obscuring the view of the driver of a Toyota Probox, which then smashed into the rear of another Probox at the intersection of Waizayantar and Thitsar roads.
South Okkalapa township fire brigade put out the fire and police are investigating the driver for negligence.
