Mother, daughters burnt to death in Allahabad

ALLAHABAD: In an unfortunate incident a 28-year-old woman Shikha was burnt to death along with her two minor daughters at Khedupur village of Koraon police station limits, on Monday night.
This is the second incident within a week when a woman and her children have died due to fire. On April 19, a woman, named Usha and her two kids, Aman (aged three) and Priyanka (aged two), were burnt to death at Kapur ka pura of Karchana block of the district.
Shikha was married around four years back. Around three days back, her brother had come to visit her and wanted to take her with him, but Shikha’s husband, Dinesh did not allowed her to leave.
On Monday night, villagers saw the victim’s house engulfed in fire. By the time, the fire was dowsed, roof of the house collapsed under which both the daughters died. Shikha was found by the villagers on the entrance with serious burn injuries.
“By the time she was taken to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries while both her daughters, Ranjana and Anjana died in the fire”, said station officer, Koraon police station, AK Dixit.
