Fire breaks out in Chennai building

CHENNAI: A fire broke out in the office of an IT company at T Nagar on Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported as the fire broke out before the employees arrived.
Fire and rescue services personnel said that the blaze might have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
The fire broke out in the IT company office situated on the fourth floor of JSR Castle on the Venkata Ragavaiah Road. False ceiling and furniture were gutted.
A passersby, who spotted smoke emanating from the building, alerted fire control room around 8.26am.
Fire and rescue personnel from Saidapet reached the spot immediately. Fire tenders from T Nagar, Guindy, Teynampet and Ashok Nagar were also sent to the spot. A sky lift from Ashok Nagar also reached the spot.
The fire was extinguished in two hours.
