Fire hits residential area in Malate, Manila

A fire hit some houses along Singalong Street in Malate, Manila early Tuesday morning, Luisito Santos reported for Super Radyo’s DZBB.
Firefighters are currently working in the area and had to break open a window to gain access into one of the houses.
In the report of Vonne Aquino for Unang Balita, the fire hit the office of a shipping and loan company.
A security guard and a caretaker recalled that they saw that a wall at the back of the office was on fire.
“Bigla na lang pong may sumiklab sa may likod po, doon nagsimula sa dulo po,” said Eduardo Tabalanza, the security guard.
“Sumiklab na po tapos may sumabog na,” he added.
The fire started at a nearby lot that is being used as a repair shop and parking lot of taxi cabs, at the make-shift barracks. — BAP, GMA News
