Fire at Golf Course Road office complex

A fire broke out in a commercial building on Golf Course road in Sector 54 on Tuesday. According to sources, no one sustained any injuries as the entire building, housing many offices, was vacant due to the lockdown. Commuters alerted the fire department and police after observing smoke coming out of the 11th floor around 11am. The fire was doused with the help of four fire tenders. “The fire broke out in the server room on the 11th floor and it spread to the third floor through the duct. Prima facie it looks like the fire was caused due to short circuit,” a fire department official said.
