9 injured, 60 families displaced by Pasay fire

Nine people were injured while about 60 families were displaced after a fire broke out in a residential area in Pasay City on Sunday, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection.
Authorities identified the victims as Samuel Caducoy, 40; Edgardo Rivera, 61; Santo Martin, 60; Sheila Dakigan, 27; Jovelyn Roxas, 15; Joan Divinagracia, 33; Maria Therese Labor, 58; Mary Jane Roxas, 40; and Jenelyn Costan, 28.
The BFP said the blaze that started on 667 Virginia Street, Barangay 130, Zone 13, damaged about 25 houses.
The agency added that the fire, which may have originated from the second floor of one of the homes, was declared under control at 2:10 p.m. and out at 5:13 p.m.
Authorities placed the damage at more or less P450,000.
