Fire at Anna Salai office

CHENNAI: More than 40 UPS units were damaged in a fire which broke out at a private firm’s office located on the third floor of a commercial complex on Anna Salai. The fire is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. There were no injuries reported.
Police said a short circuit in a UPS unit might have sparked the fire. Fire and rescue service department officials are yet to ascertain the loss.
