P5-M destroyed in Pasig fire

At least P5 million in property was destroyed in a fire that hit a two-story house in Barangay Kapitolyo in Pasig City shortly aftermidnight Sunday.
No one was initially reported injured in the fire on San Agustin Street, radio dzBB reported early Monday.
The fire started shortly after midnight and reached the second alarm before firefighters put it out after an hour.
Investigation showed the house owned by a lawyer was rented out to an Indian family.
Arson investigators are verifying claims by one of the occupants that the wall at the second floor caught fire.
Investigators are looking into the possibility the fire stemmed from an electrical short circuit. —KG, GMA News
