MUMBAI: A serious incident was averted at a Covid field hospital in Dahisar after an oxygen support machine caught fire. Health staff reacted promptly and doused the fire with the help of extinguishers at the hospital. All patients in the ICU of the hospital are safe and no one sustained injuries in the incident.
The high-flow nasal cannula caught fire on Thursday afternoon, BMC officials said.
Health staff provided basic training in disaster management and fire-fighting helped handle the situation at the field hospital, BMC officials said.
