Fire at Sutar chawl in Mumbai’s Abdul Rehman street brought under control

MUMBAI: A fire at Sutar chawl, Abdul Rehman street on Monday morning was confined to electric wiring by Mumbai Fire Brigade
It has been brought under control, said fire officials. The fire broke out in two closed galas located on the fourth floor of a ground-plus-five-storey structure.
The galas containing a stock of packing materials and plastics material are spread over 800 sq feet.
The galas were forcibly opened by the fire brigade after cutting off electric supply.
People residing on the fifth floor were safely rescued and there are no reports of any injuries, said chief fire officer Shashikant Kale.
