KALYAN: A doctor’s flat situated in a posh locality in Maharashtra capital Mumbai’s Kalyan area was gutted after a fire broke out in an air conditioner. However, the wife of the doctor and their two kids who were inside the home managed to come out before the fire could spread.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at the fourth floor-based flat of Casuarina building situated in Godrej Hill area in Kalyan (West).
The fire brigade officials said that the flat is owned by Dr Rajesh Raju, adding, after the fire took place in the AC in the hall room, it spread to the sofa set due to which the entire house was affected.
