Updated: 2020–03–15
A fire late at night on Saturday (March 14) damaged Thainakornpaint and Chemical, a car paint factory, at Ramkhamhaeng soi 201 in Bangkok’s Min Buri district.
A Facebook user posted that he saw some 50 fire brigades trying to put out the blaze. The fire reportedly broke out inside the warehouse and spread to nearby buildings.
Since the warehouse had a lot of chemicals, paints and thinners, firefighters needed to use wet chemical foam and took about two hours and 30 minutes to extinguish the fire.
There were no reports of casualties.Police are investigating the cause of the fire, and estimated the damage at more than Bt1 million.
