60-year-old dies in fire caused by gas leak

DELHI: A 60-year-old woman died after a fire broke out in her house due to a leak in an LPG cylinder in outer Delhi’s Jwalapuri on Sunday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as Amma Devi. It is suspected the fire broke out when she lighted the stove.
Chief fire officer of Delhi Fire Service, Atul Garg, said that the incident was reported at 12.50pm following which three fire tenders were sent to the spot. The firemen doused the blazes and rushed the woman to a hospital where she was declared brought dead due to severe burn injuries.
