NEW DELHI: At least six people died and 10 injured when a massive fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Delhi’s Zakir Nagar in the early hours of Tuesday.
Eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was doused off. The injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Around seven cars and eight motorcycles were gutted in the blaze.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal visited the site and said the cause of the deadly fire would be probed.
“Shocked to know about the loss of lives in Zakir Nagar fire. I am inspecting the incident spot &Del govt will provide all help to affected families. Cause of fire will be probed,” Kejriwal posted on Twitter.
