Ahmedabad: Overheated wax machine catches fire in Civil Hospital

AHMEDABAD: A machine in the physiotherapy department near the blood bank on the Civil Hospital campus in Asarwa caught fire on Monday evening. No one was reported injured. The machine and some furniture were damaged in the incident. By the time a team of the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) reached the spot, the flames were nearly doused, officials said.
According to the AFES, they received a call at 6.24pm about a fire in the physiotherapy department. “Officials in the departmnet said that a machine used to melt wax used for treatment had overheated and started a fire. Nobody was injured,” the official said.
