A fire tender from Tallakulam reached the spot in just five minutes and began firefighting. As the intensity of the fire was assessed to be a major one, another fire tender from Tallakulam was also rushed to the spot. An official from the fire and rescue services said that in total five fire tenders and one emergency rescue tender (ERT) were involved in fire-fighting.
