Andhra Pradesh: Major fire breaks out at oil mill in East Godavari

RAJAHMUNDRY: A major fire broke out at Sri Chakra Oil Mill in P Ramachandrapuram village of East Godavari district on Wednesday morning.
The fire which broke out at 10am triggered panic among the locals and workers of the oil mill as it spread.
No casualties have been reported so far. The firefighting operations are under way.
Though the exact reason of the fire is yet to be ascertained, electrical-short-circuit was the suspected reason for the massive fire mishap.
A total of five fire tenders have been pressed into service to douse the blaze. The officials are suspecting that large quantity of the oil and other machinery in the oil mill were burnt in the fire mishap. Heavy fire and thick smoke rose to the spot.
The officials of Police and Revenue department rushed to the spot and as per preliminary investigation.
