Fire razes homes in Permata Hijau

A fire destroyed 15 houses in Permata Hijau, South Jakarta, on Tuesday.
South Jakarta Fire Agency officer Surahman said the fire started at 2:25 a.m. and engulfed the houses near the ITC Permata Hijau shopping center. He added that his agency mobilized 15 fire trucks to bring the fire under control.
South Jakarta Fire Agency operational division chief Muchtar Zakaria said the fire was probably caused by an electrical short circuit.
