Mumbai: Fire breaks out at powerloom unit in Bhiwandi

BHIWANDI: A major fire broke out at powerloom unit in Bhiwandi under Thane district of Maharashtra on Friday afternoon. Three fire tenders from Bhiwandi fire brigade have been sent to the spot.
All the garments in the powerloom were gutted in fire. The reason behind fire is yet to be known.
The incident took place at powerloom unit situated in Khoka compound in Shanti Nagar area of Bhiwandi.
Fire official said that luckily due to Friday, powerloom unit was closed and no worker was inside the unit.
Till this report was filed, fire team had managed to control fire and cooling operation is on.
