Fire in forest area on Kadamba Plateau

PANAJI: Chimbel saw yet another fire in a forest area at Kadamba plateau bypass, in survey number 28.
Fire and emergency services in the afternoon and took more than an hour to douse the fire. Cause of the fire could not be established.
“Incidents of setting fire to green coverage, forest areas are now normal in this region. Many petitions were filed earlier before the forest department, but no concrete action has been taken,” secretary of Chimbel Manch, Tukaram K stated.
