Woman dead, another critical as flat catches fire in Bandra

MUMBAI: One person died and another one suffered serious injuries after a fire broke out in the top floor flat of Sea Spring building at Bandstand in Bandra (West) on Thursday morning. The firemen were able to control after two hours of struggle.
Fire brigade informed about the fire at around 7.30am on Thursday and rushed two fire engines to the spot. The fire broke out on the top floor of ground plus six storey building, near actor Shah Rukh Khan’s residence.
Firemen controlled the fire around 9am. Firemen rescued two women from the flat, 20-year-old Evana Morrece and 38-year-old Sifra Japhari. Evana was declared dead at hospital and Sifra, who sustained 90 per cent burn injuries is critical.
