Thane: Fire breaks out at garment manufacturing plant in Dombivli

A massive fire was reported from a garments manufacturing unit in Dombivli on Friday
THANE: A fire broke out at Shakti Process company in MIDC Phase-1 area in Dombivli of Maharashtra’s Thane district on Friday evening.
The fire was so intense that the blaze could be seen from a distance of about 2km.
However, there was no causality except for a fire brigade staff Subhash Bhor who suffered minor injuries while controlling the blaze.
The fire brigade officials said that due to Friday, the garments manufacturing unit was closed and maintenance work was underway inside the premise when the fire broke out.
They said that the exact reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
The official said that it will take time to control the blaze.
