30 to 50 families affected by fire in Taytay, Rizal

A fire that broke out before dawn on Saturday in Taytay, Rizal has affected 30 to 50 families.
The fire that hit a residential area in Barangay Dolores started at 4:36 a.m. and was put out at 6:28 a.m., according to a report by Luisito Santos on Dobol B sa News TV.
Around 10 houses made of light materials were razed as the fire which reached the first alarm quickly spread.
Members of the Bureau of Fire Protection – Taytay and fire volunteers joined hands to put out the fire.
According to the barangay chairman, an unattended candle could have sparked the fire. The affected house reportedly had no electricity and used only candles as light source.
Residents evacuated with their pets as the fire raged.
The fire incident caused heavy traffic on Ortigas Avenue Extension on Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, affected residents whose livelihood is sewing clothes and other materials were worried as to how they can recover from the tragedy. —KG, GMA News
