Parañaque fire destroys houses, leaves five families homeless
Updated: 2021–02–11
Five families have lost their homes to a fire that hit a residential area in Barangay Baclaran, Parañaque City, early Thursday morning.
Citing information from fire marshals, Super Radyo dzBB’s Luisito Santos reported on “Unang Balita” that the fire that reached the second alarm started at about 5 a.m. and was declared fire out at 6:33 a.m.
An initial investigation showed the fire started from a rented unit of an old apartment building.
Two houses and some units of an adjacent apartment building were destroyed, according Parañaque City fire officials.
Occupants of the unit where the fire originated claimed the spark might have started from the air conditioning unit.
But fire marshals are still verifying the cause of the fire, and estimating the cost of damage to property. —LBG, GMA News
