Elderly Man Dies In Fire

SUNGAI PETANI, Aug 11 (Bernama) — An elderly man died in a fire which destroyed a house in Kampung Pengkalan Semeling near here last night.
The burnt body of Saad Mansor, who was in his 80s, was found after firemen had put out the blaze, said Sungai Petani Fire and Rescue chief Rosdi Ismail.
He said the cause of the fire and the damage had yet to be determined.
Saad’s body had been sent to the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital.
