Fire at smoked rubber factory

A smoked rubber factory in Chumphon province caught fire on Saturday night, police said.
Pol Capt Charnnarong Srisueb, an investigating officer at Tha Sae police station, said the fire destroyed about 30% to 40% of the factory warehouse on Petchakasem Road. Eleven fire engines were needed to douse the flames.
Initial estimates put the cost of the damage at six million baht. Police are investigating the cause of the fire, he said.
The factory belongs to Wong Bandit Co Ltd.
