Bushfire along Jalan Pantai Lumut

A BUSHFIRE occurred along Jalan Pantai Lumut, Kg Lumut yesterday.
The fire which broke out around 12 noon affected several hectares of the bushes. Several minutes later, the blaze turned into an inferno after windy weather caused the fire to spread to stacks of nearby used tyres.
The inferno caused thick black smoke to rise in the area and curious villagers inspected the area for fear of a house fire.
A team of firefighters from Sungai Liang Fire Station soon arrived at the scene to control and extinguish the blaze.
