HCM CITY (VNS)— Two children died after a motorbike caught fire in a house in Thanh My Loi Ward in HCM City’s District 2 early yesterday morning.
Ten-year-old Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong died after suffocating from the smoke while her sister, 14-year-old Nguyen Thi Kim Huyen, died on the way to hospital for emergency treatment.
The fire occurred while the two victims were sleeping and their parents were not at home. It was extinguished as soon as it was discovered by neighbours.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire. — VNS
